The Imago model is an eye-opening lens to view your relationship through, and one which illuminates a clear path toward healing and a conscious, satisfying relationship.  Comment from a July 2009 workshop graduate

Every couple should experience Imago Therapy.  It helps build strong foundation with trust and love, helps to shape our society if all couples want a strong foundation for their relationship and families. Comment from a May 2009 workshop graduate

Imago work is the best work for any individual and a relationship.  Learning to mirror one another, being the empathetic listener gives everyone a “safe place” to speak with love. Comment from a November 2008 workshop graduate

Your workshop is making a tremendous difference for us.  We bless your name and the couple's dialogue every day.  Also ordered the books and video, doing the exercises, following the instructions.  It's a lot to incorporate but the payoffs are huge for us---we're having so much FUN doing the wedding planning. Comment from graduate of premarital program

Family Mediation

If a couple finds at the end of couples’ counseling they are unable or unwilling to continue their marriage and wish to seek a divorce, the option of mediation to dissolve their marriage is a less expensive and less traumatic way to come to an agreement about their children, property, debts and support.   Emphasis is on the future, rather than the past. Couples can use mediation prior to filing a divorce, during the divorce or  after a divorce.  Attorneys are welcome but not required  until the final divorce and appearance in court.   For more information, contact  Marietta Shipley, retired judge, with The Mediation Group of Tennessee, LLC,   www.themediationgrouptenn.com

Parenting Help

Creating Cooperative Kids -  Denny Mosesman is a Parent Educator located in Nashville, TN

Cooperative Kids is about more than solving today’s temper tantrum. It’s an effective road map for guiding and raising children in a manner that inspires respect and cooperation. It’s a results-driven approach for parents, teachers and professionals who are interested in helping children grow up to become loving, caring citizens, leaders and parents themselves.

Pam Leo - Connection Parenting - Optimal Child Development - Books and Resources

The model of parenting most of us grew up with was authoritarian parenting, which is based on fear. Some of us may have grown up with permissive parenting, which is also based on fear. Authoritarian parenting is based on the child's fear of losing the parent's love. Permissive parenting is based on the parent's fear of losing the child's love. Connection parenting is based on love instead of fear.

Attachment Parenting (API) - Support Groups and Info

The mission of Attachment Parenting International (API) is to promote parenting practices that create strong, healthy emotional bonds between children and their parents. We believe these practices nurture and fulfill a child's need for trust, empathy, and affection, providing a lifelong foundation for healthy, enduring relationships.
